A seasoned legal professional with dual licensure in Ontario, Canada and New York State, I bring a wealth of expertise as a fractional General Counsel with extensive experience across multiple industries and legal disciplines.

Education & Credentials

I am a licensed attorney in both Ontario, Canada and New York State, holding a Master of Laws (LLM) degree and a Certificate in Adult Education. As an enthusiastic polyglot, I am fluent in multiple languages, enabling effective communication across international contexts.

Executive Leadership Experience

As former General Counsel, Chief Legal Officer, and Chief of Staff for various SaaS companies, I’ve provided comprehensive legal guidance while serving in multiple leadership capacities. My experience includes developing and implementing GDPR-compliant privacy programs and serving as Data Protection Officer. I have established robust compliance frameworks and led policy development for ISO and SOC audits. My leadership extends to directing strategic procurement initiatives and vendor relationship management. I have also created and implemented training programs for staff onboarding and SaaS client users, leveraging my background in adult education.

Legal Expertise

My legal background spans multiple practice areas, including corporate and commercial law for technology companies, data privacy and protection, and regulatory compliance. I have dedicated over a decade to criminal defense representation and have worked as Discipline Counsel for the Law Society of Ontario. This diverse experience allows me to approach legal challenges with a comprehensive perspective and innovative solutions.

Teaching & Public Speaking

I have shared my expertise through college-level legal instruction, international conference presentations, and development of educational content for legal and technology audiences. My teaching experience includes creating comprehensive training programs that translate complex legal concepts into accessible knowledge for diverse audiences.

Community Engagement

I currently serve on the Board of Directors for the Lighthouse Learning and Development Center, a registered charity providing educational and vocational programs for children with autism. This role reflects my commitment to using my professional skills to support meaningful community initiatives.
